Vintage Lladro Figurine-Two Nuns-Bisque Grey Mat Finish-1970s

This lovely original Lladro figurine of two nuns was created in Spain in the 1970’s. The figurine is of two nuns standing close together with their Habit and Cornette on, rosaries hang at their sides. They are wearing lovely long pleated Habits and have their hands folded. The finish on this piece was done in the 1970’s and is of the “Bisque” or “Matte” porcelain finish as opposed to the more common high gloss of Lladro pieces. The back stamp to the base was used between 1971 and 1974. This is an early version of the sculpture. The colouring is soft grey, tan and white. The piece measures 13″ high and 5″ wide. The sculptor was Fulgencio Garcia and the Spanish name for the figurine is “Monjas”. This is a radiant Lladro piece created in Spain with intricate detail and incredible soft colours. Lladro figures are collected all over the world and are very sought after. This figurine is a must piece for your collection or a really special gift.
