Vintage 1976 Peak Freans Cookie Jar – Bavarian Biscuit Barrel

This is a lovely unique vintage 1976 Peak Freans cookie jar, a rare cookie jar. Peak Freans held a contest in 1976 to commemorate the introduction of their “Black Forest Cremes Cookies”. This prize winning ceramic cookie jar was the result of the contest to mark the 1976 “Cookie of The Year” – Black Forest Cremes. The jar was hand crafted in Toronto, Canada in 1976. The cookie jar of glazed ceramic pottery has beautiful detailed raised molded Bavarian scenes of the Black Forest in Germany all around the sides of the jar. The cookie jar measures 8 1/2″ tall and 7″ wide and is in perfect like new condition from a smoke free home. This cookie jar is both decorative and functional. It can be used to hold cookies as well as being a wonderful and unique addition to a special collection to be attractively displayed in the home.
